The Avon Free Public Library Storytime Program is created and implemented by the trained staff of the children's room. We base our programs on early childhood literacy principles. Our program seeks to provide a fun and literature rich environment to the children of our community through books, fingerplays, music, movement, activities and more!!
We offer 3 sessions. A fall session, winter session and spring session. On occasion we cannot fill all requests for storytime. Because of this we use a lottery process for filling the availabe slots in storytime. If all slots are taken you will be placed on a wait list. In this case, if anyone is absent or drops from the program you will be called upon to join. Rest assured, you will never be wait listed for two sessions in a row.
