Do you love chess and want to meet other players?

Chess club is open to grades 2-6 and meets approximately once a month.

Come play chess in an informal, fun and relaxed atmosphere.   Connect with other players and learn some fun variants.   Players will rotate partners throughout the evening.

*Players are expected to know the basics of chess, including how the pieces move, how castling works, and checkmate.*

Register below for the Monday, December 16 date.  Please register for each date separately.

We will meet in the art studio on the 2nd floor children’s department.  Chess boards are provided by the library.

Registration is required – please register below for each date you plan to attend.

*If you are registered but don’t show up by 6:35pm, your spot may be given away to a child waiting on standby.

*Parents/Guardians must stay on the 2nd floor during the event.

*If you are on the waiting list, we will contact you if a spot opens up.  We ask that people no longer able to attend notify the library at least 24 hours in advance or as soon as possible.
