Thursday, 3/22/18 Mac OS Basics

We’ll start with the basics including navigating the operating system, installing free antivirus software and setting up a backup solution. Then we’ll spend some time with these built-in applications: App Store,      Calendar, Disk Utility, iTunes, Photos, Preview, Safari, TextEdit and TimeMachine. We’ll be using macOS Sierra 10.12.6. Please bring your Mac laptop, tablet and iCloud account        information (your Apple ID).

Monday, 3/26/18 Intermediate Mac OS: Tips and Tricks

Tips and Tricks. We’ll cover customizing your dock and sidebar, taking screenshots and screencasts (video), screen sharing to a remote user and more. We’ll also dive a bit deeper into built-in applications like Preview, Photos, and Time Machine using macOS Sierra 10.12.6 .  Please bring your Mac laptop, tablet and iCloud account information (your Apple ID)

Tuesday, 4/3/18 Managing your iPad & iPhone/iOS Basics

Learn how to setup and get the most from your device. Learn how to sync your iPhone or iPad to your computer. We’ll use iCloud to sync calendars and data across devices, devise a backup strategy for your device, and work seamlessly across devices. We’ll be using iOS 11.2 (or newer). Please bring your iOS device with you.

Tuesday, 4/10/18 Intermediate iOS: Tips & Tricks for your iPad and iPhone

We’ll work more in-depth with Family Sharing, custom ringtones, settings, and cover the different options within the Camera application. We’ll be using iOS 11.2 (or newer). Please bring your device and iCloud account information (your Apple ID).

Tuesday, 4/17/18 Learning with the iPad for Adults:

We’ll explore the world of free online courses that are available from platforms like iTunes U, Coursera and content from most major universities on a wide variety of topics. We’ll also touch on how to access resources that are available to you through our library, including Lynda.com,           Overdrive and Hoopla Digital.
