Spring “Outstanding Film” Series – Whiplash

Simmons (Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor) who plays an intense music teacher who pushes a young jazz drummer to the limits of his ability. You will be mesmerized by the characters and the acting as the film explores the costs of the pursuit of excellence. Rated R, 1h 46min.
After the film, a discussion will be led by Bob Kagan, Professor of Communication at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford. Snacks to share are appreciated!
