**We are OUT of bags!** Volunteer to make Birthday Cards for Senior Citizens!

Do you enjoy art and being creative? You can volunteer to make cards for senior citizens to make their birthdays more special!
The Avon Library and the Avon Youth Services Bureau will provide card-making supplies for you to make cards for the senior citizens of Avon to bring birthday fun and cheer. Cards will be distributed to the Avon Senior Citizen Center, assisted living facilities, and local oncology centers.
The themes for this session of card making are: Birthday!!
Please share your time and creativity to bring a smile to someone on their birthday. Please take your time to write kind, hopeful, funny messages to senior citizens inside of your creations!
Who can make cards? The volunteer card making program is open to children, teens, adults, and families.
Important dates:
PICK UP:
- Bags will be available for pickup across from the 2nd floor Kid’s Desk, while supplies last!
- Pickup begins Monday, April 8th.
RETURN:
- We ask that cards are returned by Friday, May 3rd by 4:45pm, to allow time for delivery to various places in town.
- Return your cards in a bag with your name on it to the front entrance of the library.

What do you have to do?:
1. Come to the 2nd Floor Children’s Room for your supplies! (Card bags are available while supplies last)
2. Make cards, be creative, write kind, hopeful, and funny messages!
3. Drop the cards off in the collection boxes, inside the front entrance of the library building by Friday, May 3 at 4:45pm at the latest.
