Connecticut, the Ferocious Hunter: Witchcraft in the 17th Century

Bruce Henley, tour guide and teacher at the Webb-Deane-Stevens house, will concentrate on the 17th century story of witchcraft in Connecticut, with a 21st century postscript. This talk will cover the Puritan religion, beliefs about witchcraft, the first and last accused, and the Hartford and Fairfield  panics.  It will be peppered with specific cases and personalities like King James Ist, Gov.
