Do you love chess and want to meet other players?

Chess club is open to grades 2-6 and will be meeting the following dates:

• Monday, September 9 from 6:30-7:30pm
• Monday, October 7 from 6:30-7:30pm

Come play chess in an informal, fun and relaxed atmosphere.  This fall we will try some fun variants like duck chess!  Players will rotate partners throughout the evening.

*Players are expected to know the basics of chess, including how the pieces move, how castling works, and checkmate.*

Register below for the Monday, October 7 date.  Please register for each date separately.

We will meet in the art studio on the 2nd floor children’s department.  Chess boards are provided by the library.

Registration is required – please register below for each date you plan to attend.

*If you are registered but don’t show up by 6:40pm, your spot will be given away to a child waiting on standby.

*Parents/Guardians must stay on the 2nd floor during the event.

*If you are on the waiting list, we will contact you if a spot opens up.  We ask that people no longer able to attend notify the library at least 24 hours in advance or as soon as possible.
