Yoga for Everybody (Virtual Classes, Tuesday Mornings in Jan-Feb)
Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 9:00 am - 10:00 am
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until Tuesday, February 21, 2023
Join us for four morning classes this winter: 9am on January 31, February 7, 14, 21.
Yoga is a beneficial practice for everyone and every body. It improves immune function, makes us more flexible and strong, helps us to balance better, breathe better, and stand up straighter! But sometimes fear keeps us from even trying our first class. That is the beauty of yoga on Zoom! Check your ego at the door, and join me virtually for these informative, relaxing, lighthearted classes. You’ll learn yoga postures for stretching and strengthening; breathing techniques for energizing and relaxing all within the comfort of your home! Who knows? Maybe even in your PJs! I will teach you how to balance better, breathe better, stand taller, and hopefully find some quiet in the chaos. You can use simple things around your house as “props” to help you every now and then. A yoga mat is helpful, but DON’T BUY ANYTHING! You can practice yoga with nothing but yourself. I’ll show you how. No experience is necessary. My classes are gentle and suitable to all, even if you are doing the whole practice sitting on a chair. Beginners welcomed and encouraged. Bring your beautiful body to yoga!
Sponsored by the Friends of the Avon Library.
Please register ONCE for the entire series, even if you cannot attend each session. A Zoom link will be sent by the instructor before class.
