Send your file to a library printer from any device anywhere, and you can pick it up at the library.
How does SPOT Global Print work?
- Download and install the appropriate SPOT Global Print app at https://www.libraricacloud.com/apps.html Apps are available for Windows and Mac computers and Android and iOS tablets and phones.
- Open the SPOT Global Print app and select Avon Free Public Library (CT) as the pickup location and SPOT Printer as the printer.
- Make note of the PIN displayed. You will need this number to pick up your print.
- If you are using a Windows computer, be sure to select your choices for color/B&W and duplex in the app; for Mac computers, tablets, and smartphones, your choice of color or black & white and duplexing options can be made when you print. You will be charged according to your selection ($0.50 per page for color prints, $0.15 per page for black & white prints)
- Open the document or webpage you wish to print on your device.
- Choose FILE-PRINT, or on some phones, SHARE & EXPORT-PRINT Choose color or black & white printing. You will be charged according to your selection ($0.50 per page for color prints, $0.15 per page for black & white prints)
- Select the SPOT Printer as your desired printer. On some Apple devices, there may be a longer printer name that includes the word Librarica in the name; select that printer and once selected, its name changes to SPOT Printer.
- Click PRINT. You may need to acknowledge that the print job will pass through multiple servers.
- Go to the Adult Reference Desk on the first floor and ask a librarian to release your print job(s). The print job(s) will be identified by the PIN assigned to you in the SPOT Global Print app on your device. Currently, only cash is accepted for printing.
