CTDA Open Meeting 2024

Learn more about the CTDA and engage with the CTDA community from across Connecticut to talk about all the work being done to advance digital cultural heritage across the state of Connecticut.
The CTDA Open Meeting includes participants from across Connecticut and with this event to be available both in-person broadcast virtually on November 1, 2024.
Keynote Speaker: Judy Njoroge
“Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in library and archival collections and metadata”
As an important part of a society that should be welcoming to all, libraries and archival institutions have been seeking ways to ensure their collections and metadata reflect the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This presentation highlights some examples of initiatives that libraries and archival institutions are undertaking to reach this goal.
Judy Njoroge is the Bibliographic Services Manager at Library Connection, Inc. (LCI)and a Saturday Reference Librarian at Avon Free Public Library. She is also a New England Technical Services Librarians (NETSL) board member. In addition to implementing a DEI project at LCI, Judy has also presented on DEI at both CLA and NETSL conferences.

The CTDA Open Meeting 2024 will be hosted in-person with virtual livestream option available to allow participants to attend either in-person or virtually. We will also be recording the meeting and workshops with the recordings being made available shortly after the open meeting concludes.
