The Friends of Avon Library’s Mission is to support the Avon Free Public Library with both funds and volunteers. We promote the extension of library facilities by securing materials beyond the ordinary library budget. We also enrich the library experience with programs and activities.

Friday, October 13th ~ 4:00pm – 8:00pm Preview Sale: $5 admission or free with Friends membership postcard

Saturday, October 14th ~ 9:00am – 4:00pm No admission fee

Sunday, October 15th ~ 12:00pm – 3:00pm No admission fee – BAG SALE: $5 per bag

Cash & credit cards accepted. Please, no strollers inside the Community Room

Midwives, The Sleepwalker and The Sandcastle Girls

Chris Bohjalian is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of 19 books.  His work has been translated into over 30 languages and three times become movies.  His new novel, The Sleepwalker, was published in January.  His books have been chosen as Best Books of the Year by the Washington Post, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Hartford Courant, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, Kirkus Reviews, Bookpage, and Salon.  In 1998 his novel Midwives was selected by Oprah Winfrey for her Oprah’s Book Club.  Chris lives in Vermont with his wife, the photographer Victoria Blewer.
